francisco right now in this view right now of financial district as we make our way through the day we'll notice less and less of that great more and more sunshine to be had and sooner than yesterday even and afternoon highs for some of our inland areas little bit warmer than yesterday's dry conditions continue and temperatures cool to start warm to finish 50's and 60's as you are stepping outside this early friday morning, pittsburgh at 65 degrees right now fairfield right at 60. while livermore and dublin as well as berkeley each at 58 degrees later you do have a few 90's back in the works including areas like solano county a further inland. i'll tell you where to expect our warmest weather and what to expect this weekend in general still ahead james all right, thank you john. let's get to the news this morning president trump says that he thinks there will be a coronavirus vaccine by election day. >>he is also launching new attacks on presumptive democratic presidential nominee, joe biden we have jim acosta now with the story.

>>another day another case of presidential coronavirus misinformation. today president trump suggesting without any evidence that a vaccine could be ready by election day mom optimistic that it will be. >>probably around that day. i believe we'll have the vaccine before the end of the year certainly been around that date. yes i think that's contradicting government health experts who say a vaccine likely won't be ready. >>until the end of the year at the earliest my projection which is only projection is that somewhere towards the end of the year. the beginning of 2021, we will know whether we have a safe and effective vaccine trump's claim the latest wishful thinking from a president who has repeatedly made false and misleading statements about the pandemic is going away now it will go away things go absolutely nuts said you know my mind it will go a doctor fauci also contradicting that prediction

similar one to yesterday. >>temperatures today will be a little bit warmer for most of the bay area you've actually got a clear view as of right now of the east bay than what we saw at the same time yesterday can actually see down into berkeley and even some of the bay bridge there in the distance as cloud cover is sitting right above us this morning. now as we make our way through the day fog will remain right along the immediate coastline pretty similar to yesterday while the rest of us get a solid dose of sunshine. still in the midst of this nice little cool down that we've got that is keeping things still warm but not as warm as we have been as a high pressure ridge builds in back behind this dip in the jet stream we do eventually see temperatures warming back on up into the upcoming weekend so brief cool down these past couple of days and now it's time to start working our ways upwards specially into tomorrow and sunday, today's daytime highs 60's near the coastline very similar to yesterday. well 70's to 80's alongside the shore of the bay burlingame you'll be at 75

today was saying carlos redwood city down the mountain view all 80 degrees for daytime highs low 80's to upper 70's down in the south bay was san jose 82 saratoga cupertino in los gatos also at 82 for today's daytime highs fremont union city and hayward in the 70's while tri valley on up through walnut creek in concord all in the 80's. berkeley and richmond actually touch cooler than yesterday as that fog pushes right through the golden gate and streams right there along the bay side in the east bay. the lay how you'll be at 74 for a nice day time high well antioch in vacaville or first 2 spots back in the low 90's setting us up for more 90's into the weekend saturday sunday and monday of next week all looking at 90's for your highs inland with 70's remaining along the bay side and 60's near the coast. temperatures begin to cool back down into the middle of next week. james all right, thank you very much john. here's a quick check of the richmond sandra fell bridge as we look at traffic around the bay, nice and light
